The base
Concrete is only as stable as what it sits on. Compacted stone of the right depth is the difference between a flat drive in ten years and a cracked one in two.
Control joints
Concrete will crack. Joints cut at the right spacing and depth decide whether it cracks where you planned or across the middle.
The finish and the weather
Finishing too early traps bleed water and makes a surface that spalls the first winter. Pour timing here is not flexible.

How it runs
Pour day.
What happens, in order.
Layout and excavation
Marked out, dug to depth, and any old concrete removed.
Base and forms
Stone base placed and compacted, forms set to the grade that drains water away from the house.
Reinforcement and pour
Rebar or mesh as the job calls for, then the pour, screeded and floated.
Finish and joints
Surface finished to the texture agreed, control joints cut, and clear instructions on when to drive on it.

How long before I can drive on a new driveway?
Usually about a week for cars, longer for anything heavy. We will give you the exact window for your pour and the weather it went in under.
Can you replace just the cracked section?
Sometimes. If the base failed, patching buys a season. We will tell you which one you are looking at.
Do you charge for an estimate?
No. Estimates are free on every job. If you want a rough number before anyone drives out, send photos and a description and we can usually get close on the phone.
What areas do you build in?
Fort Wayne and the surrounding Allen County area, including New Haven and Huntington. If you are outside that, call (260) 602-0054 and ask rather than assume.
Are you licensed, insured and bonded?
We are insured and bonded, and we are a family-owned company based on Keystone Drive in Fort Wayne. Proof of insurance goes out before work starts if you want it, and permits and inspections are ours to handle.
How do you handle changes once work has started?
In writing, before we carry on. You get the cost of the change and you approve it. Nothing gets added quietly and presented at the end.
